Month of Amazon Prime Free Next Day Delivery Service

Amazon has a program called Amazon Prime in which you can get free 2nd day shipping on most items without any minimum dollar amount purchase. I personally think it’s useful in a lot of boundary conditions, like when you need a small cable or just want a specific book, but overall it’s not really worth the $79 per year fee that is charged. Also, if you’re located in Alaska, Hawaii, or shipping to a PO Box, APO/FPO or a US territory - you’re out of luck.

Amazon is currently offering up a trial membership, requires a credit card, for those who are new members to Amazon.com. This just means you need a new email address (perhaps a new credit card) to take advantage of this offer but it’s quite good. Also, after you sign up, you can set it to never re-subscribe you after the trial period by going to your account, scrolling down to Subscriptions Management > Manage Your Amazon Prime Membership, and then clicking on the Do Not Upgrade button. This ensures that you won’t be renewed at $79 but still get the trial (who knows, you may fall in love with it, that’s what they’re banking on).
